The award is a royal seal of approval, positioning Aspen among the most inspiring businesses in the UK and further raising the company’s profile in international markets as well as strengthening its position as one of the global market leaders in the HVAC/R sector.

A private equity investment from 3i PLC in 2015 enabled Aspen to make key business acquisitions in France, Germany, Australia and most recently in the UK with JAVAC and Advanced Engineering. This has allowed the company to better service customers in core markets with stock on the ground and territory based sales managers. These key strategic decisions have propelled Aspen onto the global stage, making the company a key player in the international HVAC/R market.

Aspen’s continual drive for innovation, expert knowledge of the industry, investment in its people and commitment to its customers have seen the business thrive. As the only ACR ancillaries business with a truly global reach, Aspen trades in over 100 countries worldwide with business premises on four continents.

Reflecting on the significance of the Queen’s Award, CEO, Adrian Thompson said:

'A relentless focus on innovation and excellent customer relations have been the cornerstone of our success. We have an outstanding team and I am immensely proud that every facet of the business has contributed to winning this award.

Receiving the Queen’s Award for International Trade in 2019 exemplifies the company’s achievements as they move towards increasing recognition as a global brand leader. As one of the few organisations recognised nationally, Aspen will celebrate its award at a royal reception in the summer.'
